Im glad your bringing these topics, as they seem to be swept under the carpet and not openly discussed.(im talking about in real life).
As a single parent myself, i have never demanded child support from my ex. He lives in Pakistan, and im abroad. Asking for child support would have meant alot of headache with parental rights, visitation and further legal complications. So i never asked for it.
My ex being a child himself never once offered to pay any support or send any gifts for our baby. He didnt even wait to see the baby and sent the divorce papers, without paying haq mehr. Ive had it with his abuse, and asking for child support would be draining whatever i have left in me. Im better off. I can support my child myself.
