as children grow, around 3 - 6 years of age, they become quite observant.
child developmental studies can bring forward really salient aspects of the developing child’s personality and peculiar habits.
they tend to question more, and in a safe and securely attached, comforting relationship with their parents and grand parents, aunts and uncles, cousins or siblings, even people who they meet for the first time and same-aged familiar friends, to all of them, children during this age group, truly become a
fascinating person, to observe in their behaviors and their talks.
treating growing children in this age group, as people with proper personalities, and accepting them, as well as giving them space as such, the care givers may get amazed to see how knowledgeable and intelligent children are. they may really amaze you with the purity of their feelings and they express them.
one thing to be careful about is to not forget that children are still children. to preserve their innocence and to not expose their minds to talks as adults converse with tact and a decorum, children should be spoken to in a manner and with an intonation that is appropriate for them.
thoughts on any examples of how you might have seen people treating children, during this age in a severe or out of place manner and thus a bad / harmful to the child kind of, confused personality change takes place in the children?
what would you do to suggest to the care giver, how to self check their own behaviors towards the child, in order to make the communication between the care givers and the child, more child-focused and developmentally appropriate as well as emotionally safe/ nurturing for the child?
