believe me toilet trained ones are harder to manage while travelling than the ones in diaper and babies in lap are much easier to look after than the independent ones. personal experience !!! I took my kids along for umrah when they were 5 and 2 (the diaper baby was easy to manage), it was not difficult..now when they are 7 and 4, I wont dare plan an Umrah with them for atleast next 5 yrs

That was my thinking also! I completely agree with you, when they are in diapers they are easier to control. Whereas children in the 4-9 age range want to explore everything.
