BH, I make them totally different.
Make a paste of besan and water...a little thicker than pakora consistency, add chopped onions, zeera, ajwain, dhaniya, hari mirch, salt, red chillies. Then pour on a warm skillet with very little oil. Make like a pancake. Cover until it gets stiff, then flip. Cook well on both sides. It's a great snack.
