I caught the last few minutes of this interview on Wednesday…this guy Chidambaram is all together man! while he does have a slight accent, he is fluent in thought and speech. It was very convincing how dealt with India China comparisons plus he has the ability to explain difficult concepts in short simple terms.
Charlie was almost reverential whenever he mentioned India and the admiration in tone was matched by the ‘humble man, proud minister’ attitude …wish I had seen the whole thing.
When Chidambaram brought up the 25% poverty struck people he seemed to feel for them and I was very happy to see him state that progress on all fronts and reforms are only means to an end, the end being removal of such poverty…
