Chicks or Chicos

Re: Chicks or Chicos

Love doesn't have to do anything with being romantic...not that those who are romantic don't love. The point is, most women are more expressive about their romanticism. And we expect more display from the men but sooner or later you will find out that peace and harmony comes when you can understand each others "hot" buttons. For instance, if my husband were to bring me a dozen red roses on my birthday and anniversary...I wouldn't appreciate it from deep within, the gesture yes, but a bar of chocolate would definitely be more appealing. Similarly, if I prepared 12 dishes for my husband rather than sit with him and spend some time, my cooking effort may not rub him the right way because he isn't a food fanatic for he needs just one well cooked dish on the table, but time is more important for him.

For me, being romantic is understanding what your spouse wants from you and targeting your efforts in that direction instead of wasting your time in expectations that cannot be fulfilled.

OK, that's not the answer Lois wanted. I know.
