Chicken Tikka Masala vs. Chicken Tikka

So whats the difference? Im assuming tikka masala is more liquid and tikka is dry?

Also please share a recipe for tikka masala.

I always assumed it was the same dish?

nope...its not.

I think tikka masala is salan type with chicken and vegies in it, something like karahi gosht but tikka-ish.

Chicken tikka is the tandoori chicken or the bbqed chicken you eat.

Chicken tikka masala is salan type dish, with boneless peices of chicken. Its the same as butter chicken.

naa its diff from Karhai gosht. Karahi is proper desi dish. Chicken tikka masala was made in england .. for the goras. I dont even consider as desi food.

for me…chicken tikka was always chunks of chicken bbqed…but after coming to UK i have seen chicken tikka in everything…from curries to sandwiches to crisps to everything… :halo:
