Re: chicken Qeema
you can use it like regular keema and cook anything you want in it.
the way i do it is to throw the onion, namak mirch and keema together, throw in a cup of water, and just cover it on medium heat and let it cook. keep checking it from time to time though to make sure it doesn't stick together and ends up making keema balls. that part might be the hardest. when the qeema is done (and you'll know what it looks like...it turns brown) bhoonofy it, and add whatver you desire :D

Re: chicken Qeema
chicken kebabs are the best - either the sheekh kebabs on skewers or the grilled/fried regualr kebabs - they make tasty burgers!

the same way you cook any other keema :-)...infact, we use ONLY chicken keema since my bro, sis and i don't like beef or mutton and resist eating it as much as we could...So, ammi gets chicken keema always, saving herself from the hassle of cooking 2 or more dishes during weeknights
Re: chicken Qeema
I only cook with chicken keema too, since my hubby hates beef. Basically, all I do is make a masala out of onions and tomatoes and the regular spices (salt, pepper, chili powder, haldi, etc) and toss the keema in and bhoon it. One thing to remember is that keema made from the dark meat of the chicken is tastier than the one made from the white meat. I find the ground chicken breast to be too dry and it cooks so fast that the spices don't absorb into it that well.
Re: chicken Qeema
what i usually do so that keema balls don’t form (
) is take a potato masher, and about half way through of cooking the keema, i’ll ‘mash’ the keema. that way the keema is seperated and doesn’t look all chuncky
Re: chicken Qeema
I agree.
Re: chicken Qeema
^ what did ya do?
I Love cooking chicken keema
here’s how i cook it.
add olive oil in skillet and let heat
add crushed red pepper (don’t let it get dark)
add chicken keema (sizzling effect will take place) ![]()
and the chicken will turn slight brown
cut in a small onion, add little garlic/ginger, and 4 masalas (tumeric, red chilli, salt, corriander) and mix/stir well.
cook un covered few minutes
then cover and cook for 20-25 minutes.
chicken keema cooks fast especially if you brown it in the inital step :~)
un cover and add green chillie/mirch.
chicken keema tayaar!
p.s. chapli kababs r the best made with chicken keema.
Re: chicken Qeema
can u buy regular ground chicken meat from a grocery store?
Re: chicken Qeema
Qeema ½ Kg
Red Chilli powder 1 teaspoons
Dhanyia powder 2 teaspoons
Garam masala powder ½ teaspoons
Haldi powder ½ teaspoons
Salt 2 teaspoon
Rocket chillies 4
Tomato 2 cut into small pieces (better remove skin by putting in hot water)
Ginger/garlic paste 2 tablespoon
Oil ½ cup
Onion 2 thinly sliced
Ginger sliced
Heat the oil, and fry the onions, when light brown, put the ginger/garlic paste, fry for 10 seconds and keep on stirring, then put the qeema, and mix it with oil and ginger/garlic paste fastly, then put all the masala and fry for 5 mins. When masala is fried enough, put the tomatoes and chillies. Low the flames, When qeema is about to be cooked, put ginger, You can garnish it with green coriander as well.
