Chicken Pakoray
Ingredients:

Chicken pieces 325 gm boneless
Water 1 cup
Onion coarsely chopped 1 medium
Cloves garlic 2-3
Green chilies coarsely chopped 1-2
dhuniya leaves Handful
Basin flour 125 gm
Dhuniya powder 1 tsp.
Ground zeera 1 tsp
Garam masala ½ tsp.
Chili powder ½ tsp.
Salt or according 1 tsp. to taste
Soda bicarbonate 1 pinch
Oil for deep-frying

Method:

Put the onion, garlic, green chilies and coriander with half the water in the blender and blend to a fine paste.
Ina bowl mix together the besen powder, dhuniya powder, zeera, garam masala, chili powder, salt and soda.
Add the blended liquid and rest of the water and mix well to forma thick paste.
Put in the chicken pieces and mix well so that the chicken is well coated with this mixture.
Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Serve with ketchup or mint chutney.

BV if you add one egg in it, It will come nice, fluffy and crispy.

BV, I make it the same way, pretty much. I was going to suggest adding an egg too.
I also marinate the chicken in the besan paste for 30-45 minutes so the flavours soak in.

do you boil the chicken before coating it w/ the besan? I would think the chicken won't be properly cooked when dumped in the deep fryer

Rukhsar - you do not need to boil the chicken if you small pieces of boneless chicken.

If I can resist eating up the pakoray then I make Chicken Manchurian :yummy:
