Chicken nuggets or fingers

Help!

Need a simple and not so spicy chicken fingers recipe for kids.

I am thinking something along the lines of dipping the chicken breast strips in a mixture of egg, salt and pepper and then rolling them onto bread crumbs or all-purpose flour and then deep frying. Am I missing something?

Re: Chicken nuggets or fingers

First you coat the chicken with flour, then coat them in some egg and then roll them in bread crumbs before frying them. I just made some on the weekend. They turned out delicious. :yummy:

I also tried the same with jumbo prawns and it worked well!

There are some more tips/recipes in this thread posted earlier this year:

Mehnaz, so you don't add any salt or spices?

Re: Chicken nuggets or fingers

I add the all my spices directly on to the chicken ... we normally use salt, pepper, crushed red chilis and some times lemon and tandoori masala for more flavour. I've never added it to the egg mixture. If you put it on the chicken itself, it should be fine.

put in a plastic sandwich bag

dip the chicken pieces in plain flour
and then in egg

and put a few peices in the spiced flour mix in the sandwich bag and take each peice out...shake of excess and fry

to be served with lots of ketchup
