Anyone tried it?? I’ve only had beef nehari all my life and can’t think nehari with chicken…don’t like the idea but someone told me it’s good. Does anyone have a recipe for it? I have a recipe for beef nehari, would it be same for chicken??

I used my own recipe to make chicken nehari and it turned out AMAZING! You have to make nehari with chicken, you’ll really love it! :k:

here's my recipe
Ingredients:
1kg Chicken
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp red chili powder
2 medium onions
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tbs flour (bhonofy in a pan for 1 min) mixed in about 1/2 cup water
Also grind finely 2 black cardamoms, 1 tsp black cumin, 1 sml piece Jaifal, 2 tsp saunf/aniseed, mix 2 tsp dry ginger powder/sonth
Method:
-Fry onions until golden brown, add ginger garlic paste. Stir. Add chicken pieces, red chili and bhonofy them until light golden and oil separates(about 10-15 mins). Add 1/2 of ground spice mix and bhuno again. Then mix the remaining spice mix and salt to yogurt and stir it in. Cover and cook until chicken is tender and yogurt has dissolved. Now add garam masala and flour/water mixture. Let it cook for 5 mins more and turn off heat.

I never saw this thread before otherwise I would have told you…
I have made chicken nihari a few times using Shaan masala…and I really liked it…
My husband doesnt like the beef nihari but he liked the chicken one…It really is another nice recipe for cooking chicken..

My husband didn’t like having anything made of beef let alone beef nehari…actually he didn’t know that nehari sold at restaurants is made of beef. I have converted him.. I love red meat but I try to avoid it!
don’t tell me you never had nehari at a restaurant!
