I’m looking for a Chicken Masala Macaroni recipe. My fiance’s mom used to make it. I’ve seen masala macaroni recipe’s but I dont think I have come across any with chicken on GS. My fiance think’s he his mom cookedchicken karahi, boiled the macaroni seperately, and mixed everything together once it was cooked. This is not a dish my family is familiar with, does anyone have a good recipe?

Re: Chicken Masala Macaroni
Give me a few. So that I can make sure I provide proper measurements and quantities!
Alright, it’s not as bad as it looks. I have attempted to break down each and every single step in order to relay clear instructions. Keep in mind I am an amateur and I understand everyone has different taste and their individual cooking style. Even though I have added quantities, use proportions according to your families taste. Everyone’s stove is different as well. You may have to use your discretion regarding the quantity of water, as well as, heat settings, ingredients, spices, and seasonings
Ingredients:
5 lbs Boneless Chicken
7 Large Fresh Tomatoes Diced
1/4 Cup Ketchup
2-3 Large Onions Thinly Slice
1/2 Green Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Garlic
1/2 teaspoon Ginger
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Paprika/ Ground Red Pepper (to taste)
Parsley (to taste)
1 spoon Canola Oil (to taste)
1 1/3 - 2 cups Macaroni
1 Cube Chicken Stock
Method:
Macaroni
1. Fill a large sauce pan with about 6 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Add 2 cups of macaroni
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add 1/2 teaspoon canola oil.
Add 1 chicken stock cube
Cook on medium high heat until desired tenderness is achieved stirring occasionally. NOTE: Do not overcook as the macaroni will fall apart later, when we simmer the Chicken Macaroni Masala mixture.
Drain and keep aside.
Chicken Masala
1. Heat 1/2 teaspoon canola oil in a large clean pot
Once heated add 3 thinly sliced onions and fry on medium heat with the lid on stirring occasionally until a light brown color is achieved
Add 5 lbs boneless chicken to the pot
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of ginger
Add 1/2 a teaspoon of garlic.
Add 1/4 cup of water, replace lid, and cook on medium/medium high heat stirring occasionally until all sides of the chicken breast start to turn white. You may have to add more water if the chicken starts to stick
Add 7 large diced tomatoes.
Add 1/2 green peppers.
Add 1/4 cup of ketchup. NOTE: Be careful not to use too much, you don’t want ketchup to upstage your spices.
Add paprika/ground red pepper. This is when you would add all of your favorite spices. I used a generous amount of Shan’s Chicken Tikka masala, (yes I know I’m an amateur) to give the dish a special touch.
Add 1/4 cup of water. Replace lid and cook on medium/ medium high heat stirring occasionally, until your tomatoes have dissolved and you achieve a texture in between think and thin. The texture should be a thinner than you would like your end result to be. NOTE:Make sure you do not overcook as the masala will dry up, causing you to have to make an additional batch of masala.
Remove from heat.
Use a large clean pot, and coat the pan with melted butter.
Spoon in a thin and even layer of the chicken masala, sprinkle parsley and cover the masala with a thin and even layer of macaroni. Repeat the layers ensuring that the chicken masala generously coats the macaroni. The layers should end with Chicken Masala on top
16.Set on low heat, place the lid on the pot, and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Re: Chicken Masala Macaroni
This sounds so delicious and so simple!
But I have 2 questions:
First one...Whole chicken breasts or cubes/strips? (What would you suggest works best?)
Second one...What kind of macaroni? Elbow shells? Sprial? Spaghetti's?

^
well i'm sure you don't want to be picking bones out of your macaroni, so i'd use boneless chicken and cut it up into small cubes/strips so that its easier to cook and eat.
macaroni- doesn't matter. they all taste the same!
