chicken manchurian?

Does anyone have a recipe that isn’t Fauzias?

I have tried her quite a few times and I like it but I thought may be I should try something different this time around.. I want to make it for dinner tonight :slight_smile:

I just found zubaida tariq’s recipe that uses pineapple juice.. I may as well try that tonight if no one else shares the recipe :frowning:

Here’s the recipe i use…we love it. Idk what Fauzia’s is so i apologize if it’s the same thing lol.

Chicken breast, cut into cubes, bite-size
Garlic paste (2-3 tablespoons, id say)
Crushed red pepper flakes, 1 Tbsp
Salt
Pinch of white pepper
2 eggs
1/2 cup of plain white flour

Mix all of the above together and let it sit for like 15-20 mins. It’s gonna be like a thick batter/pasty thing covering the chicken. Shallow fry the chicken peices until they’re all cooked and set them aside.

For the sauce
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes (less id u like it less hot, more if you want it more hot)
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
Cornstarch
300 ml chicken stock (I’ve used maggie cubes as well)
3/4 to 1 cup of ketchup

Saute the garlic until fragrant, then add the ketchup…let it simmer. Add the chicken stock and mix well. Add the red pepper flakes, salt, vinegar and sugar. Cook the sauce for a bit…i’d say 10 mins on medium flame. Taste now if it’s too tangy…ads a bit of sugar…too sweet add some vinegar. Now add cornstarch slurry to make the sauce thick. Pour over the chicken peices and serve.

I found this recipe online…it was chef Mehboob or someone’s…but i tried his recipe and it was waaaaayyyyy too spicy and tangy for my liking. So i adjusted it to what i thought tasted better. The measurements i gave are kind of andazay se so…adjust if you’re making more or less. I usually use 1-2 chicken breast with those measurements and have fried rice on the side so it works out perfectly for my husband and i.

yep this is very similar to Fauzias!

so I googled shireen anwar’s chicken manchurian recipe and muhatarama is using shaan oriental flavor packet masala! what kind of chef is she? :hoonh:

That’s totally different then her Gobi Manchurian recipe lol…no Shan masala in that one :hmmm:

yeah I found another one and in that she didnt marinate but directly cooked the chicken in sauce. She said she was saving us time but I didnt ask to save time so please give me a good one!

Anyway, now I am waiting for Munz recipe :wink:
