Chicken Manchurian recipe

Can someone give me a tried and tested quick and easy recipe.

I have found so many versions online that I don’t know which one to try.

Do you have to coat chicken in corn flour and fry before adding to the sauce?

I think that's common... but of course to make it healthier (and quicker) u could skip that and just saute the chicken and make the sauce. It will obvs taste way better if u coat the chicken with some sort of batter tho.

I use this random recipe i came across that was credited to Chef Mehboob or something? I tweaked it a bit cos the measurements for the sauce were too spicy/tangy for my liking... but it's pretty simple;

1lb boneless skinless chicken, cut in cubes
Half cup + a little more AP flour
2 eggs
Crushed garlic, 2tsp
Crushed red pepper flakes, 1tsp (or more)
Salt
White pepper powder
Dash of soy sauce

Mix the above until u have the chicken coated in a thick-ish paste-like batter. It shouldn't drip and should evenly cover all the chicken. Let it 'marinate' for 30 mins and then pan fry it until crispy and cooked thru. Set aside and make ur manchurian sauce and add the chicken in the end right before serving.

Manchurian sauce;
1/2 cup ketchup
1 cup chicken stock
4-5 Tbsp vinegar
Sugar
MSG (or regular salt)
Green onions
Garlic, minced
Crushed red pepper flakes, 1.5 tsp
Soy sauce

Sautee the garlic, add the ketchup and cook for a few minutes. Then whisk in the chicken stock and the rest of the ingredients, except for the green onions. Let it cook and taste for seasoning. Near the end make a slurry using cornstarch and add that to the sauce to thicken it up... add green onions and ur sauce is done.

It's an odd recipe... but i like it.
