chicken chowmin (chef zakir's recipe)

take water in a pan and add 1/2 ts haldi +egg noodles in it.

boil it.

frying pan main 2tb.s oil +2 cloves chopped garlic.

fry it little and tahn add chicken in it.

when chiken turns its colour in to white than add cabbage +capsicum+onion+carrot+spring onion.

saute the vegetables and add salt+worchestite sauce 2tb.s+ ginger (julien cut) +oyester sauce.

mix well.

toss it and it is ready to dishout.

garnish with ginger.

*chicken and vegetables are of julien cut.

have u tried the recipe..??wont adding haldi give the noodles a strange taste??

WHY ADD HALD WHEN BOILING NOODLES, THATS THE FIRST IV HEARD, I USUALLY ADD NAMAK!

and what is an oyster sauce, sounds like the oyester travel cards in London BTW, and don't you add jinomoto instead of salt,,

i think haldi is added to give colour and bit flavour of it.

nopes ajinomoto is not added in it.

Oyster sauce is used to enhance the flavour of many savory foods. It is also often used as a topping for steamed vegetables, and in stir-fries.

and the recipe i posted here is as it was shown on tv, and cgef zakir is quite famous due to his suthentic recipes. i just wanted to share it with the guys who either missed tht recipe or cannot watch prog due to any reason. :slight_smile:
