Chicken artichoke

One of my friends told me that artichoke gives chicken a great tangy taste but he was talking about artichoke with chicken in soup, stew and pizza. Do we have a desi style artichoke chicken recipe?

I intend to make one tonight by sautéing both of them separately in butter & then putting them in regular Masalla. I am not sure if I want khara khara salan or shorbay wala. Don’t want to cook them all together as I am not sure what will happen. Suggestions?

Re: Chicken artichoke

I would try making it in like a drier masala. Like karhai chicken style. Then add the artichokes and kind of steam them with the chicken karhai. See how it turns out.

Re: Chicken artichoke

After mixing it all, I intend to put some veggie broth in it and let the juices from all smear.

Re: Chicken artichoke

Humm .. in that case the broth would do me any good. Ok, karhai chicken style it is!

Re: Chicken artichoke

It came out good. Things to improve next time, 1) use boneless chicken 2) the artichoke to Chicken ratio wasn’t perfect, I needed more artichoke 3) the artichoke were from a bottle, fresh ones would have been better.

The tangy texture definitely complements the chicken. :k:

Re: Chicken artichoke

are you talking about globe artichoke? the green flower looking thing

or jerusalum artichoke ...the potatoey type veg

Re: Chicken artichoke

He is talking about the Laaloo Khait artichoke...the stone looking type.

Re: Chicken artichoke

Lazy D, here is a picture of artichoke I am talking about. I don’t know globe or Jerusalem but I got it already cut and marinated in a small bottle from the local grocery store.

Re: Chicken artichoke

Its globe artichoke... i didnt know they tasted tangy
the ones ive eaten are have no defintitive taste and are a little insipid

I think the taste better fresh...

Funguy, thankyou for you input...I have no idea of what you are talking about but thanks all the same!:)
