mapquest would be a better option but I think you can drive it in about 8-10 hours....depending on your driving style.

I say about 8-9 hours, but also keep the option of going through Buffalo, NY. It is shorter (4-5 miles only) but faster too as you dont have to worry about border crossing hassles. You can still walk over to the Canada side through bridge.

from chicago to niagara falls is easily 9-10 hours

actually, i will be traveling from miami to chicago by plane
for 3 days, and then 1 or 2 days niagara falls as i just want to see falls and i think there is nothin else to do. i was thinking 4 hrs from chicago by car :( and coming back to chicago and depart back home.

conecting flight from chicago to canada will be freaking expensive.

TLK, u r right about new york, but i dont wana go to ny.

There is lot to do and see around Chicago area. Drive to Holland. MI (around 4 hours or less drive) for the tulip festival if you are in at that time. May 5-12, 2012

^ i have been to chicgo couple of times :) i just like going there again and again especially devon avenue and couple of friends and love the city.
