I wanted to create a city-specific thread to keep other fellow citizens in the know of what’s going on. So they may benefit from it. Please feel free to create a city thread for your metropolitan. Smaller cities maybe merged in to closest big metro.
Chicago/Religious Classes:
MCC Chicago Located on North Elston Avenue (Muslim Community Center - MCC Chicago) is currently hosting Free Adult Tajweed Classes that started last sunday, but it is still not too late to sign up. The classes are every Sunday 12:30PM-1:30PM. Objective of the class is to teach the rules of recitation (Tajweed). Pre-Requirement: You must already be able to recite Quran. The exams are optional but those who participate and opt to take the tests will be given a certificate at end of the course. Those who score high enough on written and oral will also be given Ijazah (Permission) to teach Tajweed to others.
