Nothing personal PCG
you know i adore you alot
but when you can (sometimes) act like a "devil" (many would say so about you not my personal opinion) then others can act like they are a "farishta"
dont you think so?
When you say something unIslamic posing it as an Islamic statement, you WILL get your behind handed to you on a platter. By any self-respecting muslim.
That's irregardless of who is the devil and who is the farishta. We'll leave those decisions up to God.
And no, I don't care what your personal opinion is. What your Islamic opinion is, could of course be welcome. But then you'll find, that you'll be agreeing with me.

woh din jaldi mujhe deekhaana
when PCG will agree with me
Ameen Sum Ameen
Do YOU think these women should have had eggs thrown at them, and had guys in cars chasing them up and down the road, because they wanted to pray in the mosque?

Then we'll talk about who agrees with what.
PCG
its very simple
i follow Islam and the teaching of Islam
and my Islam tells me to treat women children men and everybody (even animals) and everythign with respect, honour and dignity and to be patient when you disagree with them
or dislike something about others.
So its simple i think you got my anwser madame? :)
By the sounds of it, it seems like they were handing out fliers in front of the mosque and talking to people about how women are not allowed in that mosque.
Look, if you're going to have a stupid policy, then a peaceful protest in front of your mosque is only warranted and expected. That is not something that should cause such an out-of-proportion retaliation.
This wasn't some random event that was reported on after it happened. It was part of a TV programme that was very manipulated from start to finish. I remember having a very bad taste in my mouth at the end.
I'm not saying it was right for them to have eggs thrown at them but there's a lot more to it than meets the eye.
I suggest anyone that wants to comment should find the channel 4 documentary, watch it, then make comments.
Also, mosques in the UK that are created by the local community (not funded by groups) really struggle with both funding to provide adequate facilities and with local government.
in the current climate malice in the intention of the protestors cannot be ruled out
having said that, if indeed your correct in your insertion about the islamic right of women to worship in the same mosques as men in current times, then im sure in the future more mosques will be available for women to worship in. but as muslims we have a duty to protect the religion during the transition
I don't know if it was manipulated or anything like that, but no Muslim man should be harassing women like that...its just plain wrong, I'm sure there were other ways to handle this situation......if their was no place for women to pray a protest is only but normal I would think from some people in the society
What is the point of a protest that you know will achieve nothing? If it was really so concerning they should have addressed the root problems of raising money so that the mosque could be expanded to accommodate women or a whole host of other options.
it may be hard to fund and have money for two separate rooms....but why not just make one room and just have a parda so the women can read also?
This is usually the case. I can't remember the programme clearly enough to know what exactly the issues were but there were plenty.
When you make such an irresponsible post, you should prepare yourself for someone with a better ability to argue to quote you. You dont have the right to “allow” someone to quote you or not.
unless these were anti-Islamic/hateful protests, which by the looks of it..it wasn’t…they didn’t deserve the eggs.

BS. The community in Britain is fairly well-endowed, and funds can be raised for a mosque that has enough partitioned space. They just do not allow for a special space for women, period.
If I wanted to protest, I'd do it the same way. Stand in front of the mosque, distribute fliers to its people as they're on the way out of prayer and talk to those people to get them to change their minds, and maybe from pressure from the constituents the establishment would make a change.
THAT approach does not deserve a violent retaliation, and the very fact that they reverted to violence shows what base mentality they have and goes hand in hand with the idea that they want the place to be exclusively-male in the first place. It's like a bunch of rabid boy scouts that don't want to play with the girl scouts, except they never grew up.
What surprises me is that such mosques exist in America. But some of you say the Chicago Devon street mosque has no such problem. But my friend says she went there on either Eid or some Taraweeh night or something, and she said there was not a woman to be found on Devon street, and she was actually asked by an uncle why she was there in the first place ON DEVON STREET, and that the uncle told her girls don't come around here on that night.
And yet your speech in this thread is so not in accordance with the above stated comment.
Well i hear others saying that PCG contradicts herselfs in every thread she starts
so ......chalta hai madame chalta hai
and i do not believe that i was not talking accordance my above comment, but its your opinion and your entiteled to say anything you want ji.
:) if i agree with you couple of times does not mean i always agree with you na
so lets cherish the moments of agreement!!
