I have a friend that lives in the Chicago area and doesn’t have any time to cook. Looking for a Desi Auntie in the Chicago area who does catering from her house. I’ve come across several aunties like this in other states, and they basically give you food that you can freeze and just warm up and eat.. kababs, salaans, etc…
Does anyone know of any in the Chicago area? TIA!

There's Nuzhat Auntie who does something like this. She's the owner of Lazzat Restaurant in Streamwood: 630.837.0600
She does all types of catering (even single items I believe) and does the bulk orders of kababs, samosas, rolls, etc that you can just fry whenever you need to. We get stuff from her all the time and its pretty good.

I will try to find info for you, there is some desi lady who will cook a menu based on your choices and will factor in things like low oil, or choice of oil or less spicy more spicy etc. She will go do the groceries and actually come to your place and cook it at your place and even use particular recipes if you have from your mum or something. she charged by the hour and was a little pricey, but in my view you have much more control and get things that you want.
its been a few years and I dont remember who had told us about her. in the end we did not use her services because I thought instead of paying her to do groceries, that I can do myself, so we did not go for it, then got busy with other things, and totally forgot..until just now :D she was in northwest burbs so schaumburg, hoffman, bartlett, stream wood area if i remember right, I will ask around again.

Only aunties do not do catering , some young ladies do that too to supplement their income.
