Hi everyone! Is any one into eating chia seeds and flaxseeds? I’ve bought these seeds and plan to consume them to kick start clean eating. Does any one have any good recipe they follow? Or any suggestion on how to eat them? With which foods?
I doubt it can be eaten with desi food though, right?

i need to start making smoothies. so lazy sometimes. and i just love my chocolate flavoured cereals too much to stop and move on to adult cereals!!!

flax seeds and chia seeds are great. Pretty bland so you can put them in anything even roti atta. Flax seed should be fresh grinded in a coffee/spice grinder daily. Just yogurt, bannanas, or any fruit, ground flax seeds and chia seeds. You add chia seeds to any juice 15 minutes before drinking and chill. Or you put a few tablespoons of chia seeds to water and chill for few hours. It will form a gel and you add that to any juice or soup to thicken. Google search and you will see dozens of ways to use them.

^^yup I add them to oatmeal too. It is recommended to make sure they are organic. They usually use some type of inert gas in packing. You want to avoid artificial additives or preservatives since you are eating flax seeds or chia seeds for health benefits. Make sure to read label carefully.

for breakfast, or snacks...put almond milk (vanilla or chocolate), a bunch of chia seeds and grapes or berries in a bowl and refrigerate over night. It will become thicker (same consistency than tapioca if you put enough seeds).

by the way the flex seed in called alsi in urdu but dont know what chia seeds called in urdu.

I'm not In Karachi- But you may get it from Agha's perhaps. Or you can order all kinds of amazing health stuff including the seeds from iherb.com. Not sure if they deliver in Khi though.
