So if you get raw chest nuts, how do cook/roast them so they taste like singarha in pakistan?
Can they be roasted in oven with the skin and what would be the exact procedure like do they need to be on a salt tray or something?

First of all you need to get the shell/skin off. Pierce it down the flat part of the shell and let it cook for about 5 minutes in boiling water. When it starts to cool down a little bit (dont wait too long it gets harder to peel them then) you could peel and drain them. They're already half cooked. After that you could do whatever you want with them... boil them, steam them, , bake.. etc etc.
If you want to roast them, slash tehm horizontally, place in the oven on a baking tray at 400F for 15-20 mins flipping them over from time to time.

You can, sorry I didnt mean to include roasting in the boiling part.
Once you take them out of the oven, you simply peel and eat.

You know what you should do? slice them up and add em to salads, gosh they bring so much flavor and yumminess to an otherwise boring salad! :p
