not undermining. Just letting you know that he is far behind to be a global super star. Bollywood got marketing skills, nahin to Pakistan main ek se badh kar ek gem hai. You name it. Moin Akhtar, Talat Hussain, Shakeel and list goes on. But we don’t call them global stars. Even I would say Hritik Roshan and Ranbeer Kapoor got more versatility than SRK. SRK should now start playing challenging roles which suits his dhalti jawani.

Moin Akhtar, Talat Hussain, Shakeel and list goes on. But we don't call them global stars. Even I would say Hritik Roshan and Ranbeer Kapoor got more versatility than SRK. SRK should now start playing challenging roles which suits his dhalti jawani.

I would challenge that notion with examples like Baazigar, Darr, Anjaam, Devdas, Kal Ho Na Ho, Asoka, Swades, Chak De India, Don add to that Ra.One and Chennai Express. All these movies have SRK playing very different roles. Anjaam and Darr are a bit similar but thats about it. Hrithik and Ranbir are versatile but that I don't think they have the longevity in their careers to be more versatile than SRK. SRK became famous after Darr and Baazigar but his image changed after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le jayenge-the movie established the modern day romantic hero of bollywood cinema. Ranbir perhaps will do this but hrithik hasn't been successful in doing so. Hrithik IMO sucks at playing out and out romantic roles.

but thats just my two cents.

I think he has been to his comfort zone roles for many years and should come out of these romantic and hard to impress Don type roles. I don’t see much difference in his roles in DDLJ KKHH, KKKG, KHNH (such long names ), Main Hoon Na, Muhabbaten, Veer Zara, Rub ne bana di… etc. Most of the times story lines and backgrounds changes a little bit, but I found he is wasting his talent on similar types of roles. You are absolutely right in saying that however my objection was to your stating that hrithik and ranbir are more versatile than SRK.
When hrithik and Ranbir both have a long ways to go to prove as such. Currently speaking their movie palatte is not half as much as SRK’s when they are at the same career point as SRK then it will be possible to derive a better comparison of their career’s in light of SRK’s.

Talking about Indian culture, he should make a movie on ladies getting raped in India or women are not safe in India. His new movie should be about this, I gave a million dollar Idea. Live for 50 more years SRK n keep entertaining people.

Waleed yaar, choro na yeh bashers ko...you think all their bashing is going to make an itty bitty little difference to SRK. Nooooo...coz everybody is still going to see his movies.

we will see what everyone has to say about Amir Khan playing his role in Dhoom 3...coz he is another 50+ actor...

There are so many other 50+ actors doing crazy stuff in hollywood....and I wouldn't have them in any other way...coz that is what they are known for!

So leave it...bashers ke saath argue karna is a waste of your breath.

When I was 20 I was defending SRK to my friends and my family...guess what? SRK is still here..he didn't go any where!

P.S. the ONLY actor in Bollywood who could ever be compared to SRK in a later time...when they are at the same age is Ranbir Kapoor....abhi thak koi aur paida hi nahi hua hai...and I would expect it from this Kapoor, and he has done very well so far.
