Went to get my hair straightened and my scalp and hair have been fused together, it itches, it burns and the hair that’s on my scalp is all hard. Top layer of hair looks fab..but my scalp is in agony!
Help! I need a remedy, wht oil wht cream? I knwo it’ll scab over and then flake…no no no…it’ll look like I have dandruff!
I went to a pricey place to get this done and this is what I get! I so regret this!

You had your hair permanently straightened? I don't know, Shahreen and Femme have both had it done. Hopefully, they can give you some tips. :(

Ouch ouch ouch. Fortunately I have never gotten a burn. They alwasy start putting the chemical solution about half an inhc away from the scalp to prevent burns. I can only advice you tp keep some oil. probably coconut on ur hair for a few days till it gets better.
p.s. When are you suing them?

Gawd.. I was going to get my hair permanently straightened as well.. NOW i totally changed my mind. I hope it heals quick

I've never had it happen to me either. As Femme says, the solution is put on around half an inch or so away from the scalp.
Firstly I hope you complained and got a refund of your money if not more. Then go and see another hairdresser and see if they can offer any help and advice.
Do you have any Aveda salons where you live? They offer intensive scalp treatments as well as deep conditioning treatments.

As it works out when I went to see teh doctor, he said had been severly burnt.
I did tell the hairdresser that my scalp was burning to which she replied "that means the medicene is working"
I pleaded with another lady to wash it off to which she replied "no pain no gain".
The relaxing had been done in one of the most famous saloons in dubai, but unfortunately it seems that these 2 ladies were new.
Any ways I am on anti biotics coz of my fever and festering, puss oozed from my scalp, but 4 days later I am much better, wounds have scabbed over, hair looks back to normal only straighter, no falling yet thank GOD!
I went back and got my money back, and told them they'd have to pay for medical bills, but then last night I realised that these ladies are quite poor, often have 2-3 kids back home, I can afford to lose a few hundred, but if thaking that away from the lady will mean not havin enuff to pay for her kids school, I'll hate myself.
Here in dubai sueing woudl mean appointing a lawyer and I'd have to sell my house and car to do that, so saloon isn't held responsible rather even if I complained the lady who did this to be woudl be held liable to pay for all the damages.
As long as my wounds heal I'm happy. Though I was hell bent on revenge when my scalp had been burnt raw.
Worst thing is after torturing me she continued to set my hair and blowdried it, at which point i just fainted from the pain.
I have a splitting headache!

holy moly… ure story takes the cake.. i thought i got it pretty bad when hairdressers of a really posh salon in karachi gave me an afro when i had asked for a perm… but wow.. u got it worse!
