Re: cheese sandwich
^ You mean grilled cheese sandwich?
Pretty simple. Butter one side each of two pieces of bread (you can use margarine).
With the buttered side on the outside, add a slice of cheese (I like cheddar, but you can use, gouda, havarti, blue cheese, mozarella, swiss, American) and can also add what ever other toppings inside you want, i.e. sliced tomatoes, pickled hot peppers, artichokes, really whatever strikes your fancy.
Grill it in the pan until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted and then serve.
If you're referring to a grilled panini with cheese in it - well then the sky's the limit with your preparation options.

That's how I like to make mine....except I use creamy Italian dressing instead of the mayo. It's so simple and comforting.

Focaccia bread is really good for paninis.

Re: cheese sandwich
cheese sandwich hmmmmmm not really a recipe you follow:
just look in the fridge, see what cheese you have, slice enough and add to the bread you have.
if you want crispy bread toast it first, then add the cheese and grill it/microwave it.
(add any extras like chillies/garlic/ketchup/mustard/marmite)
then add the top slice. the important part is squash it down so its nice and firm.
spending 30 minutes making a cheese sandwich NO NO NO, it should take 3 minutes.
