Cheese samosa

I need recipe for homemade cheese (i guess cottage cheese?) for filling a cheese samosa. I live in Lahore-so please consider that when suggesting ingredients. thanks.

Re: Cheese samosa

do you mean you want to make the cheese from scratch? or you are asking which cheese to use? for the latter, ricotta cheese

Re: Cheese samosa

  • Cheese samosas:

Ingrediants:

  • 'The Laughing Cow' Cream cheese wedges
  • Samosa wraps
  • Oil for deep frying

Method:
-Place the cream cheese portions directly over the samosa wraps/strips and fold them as triangles as we do for samosas.

  • Heat oil n deep fry until they turn brown.

  • Serve them hot and enjoy the Melting Cheesy Samosas!!!

Re: Cheese samosa

You can easily find cheese in the local Lahore grocery stores and super markets. Just by a package of shredded cheese because it will last you longer. Or you can buy a block cheese with a long shelf-life and shelf life and grate it.

Also, I don't think that cottage cheese would make a good filling for the samosas because cottage cheese tends to be more moist/wetter.

We use shredded mozzarella cheese. Sometimes we use a package of mixed shredded cheese which includes mozzarella, asiago, fontina, and parmesan.

You can also try shredded cheddar or swiss. Or as Mahismart suggested, try the laughing cow cheese wedges. Another option is ricotta cheese or goat cheese (which tends to be a bit more expensive).

Re: Cheese samosa

Thanks a lot :) I will try with shredded cheese and the laughing cow one.
