I have to disagree with the folks who are saying that Cheerleeding is not a sport. It requires one to be in extraordinary shape. Just look at the stuff they do in the Cheerleading competitions. It's more of a sport than Golf or Bowling. Any kind of athletic activity which requires you to be in shape is a sport.

^ And anyway whos' looking at the cheerleaders faces? You do have to be in extremely great physical shape. And male cheerleaders are not effeminate, they require lots of strength and agility as well. Lots of football players are asked to take a few ballet lessons to increase their flexibility

I used to do this stuff. It was very physically demanding and we really didnt give a darn about the team we were "cheering" lol! We were into OUR sport and sport it was!
The guys that do the "extreme" cheerleading are really only window dressing to fling the gals around and catch them after they throw them up in the air - and no it isnt effeminate! How many other sports can give guys a really good workout whilst playing so intimately with the gals! They are popular guys, more so than the macho football playing bullies!

agreed, as a matter of fact desi out of shape geeks who think they are some kindsa ‘athelete’ playing cricket on the weekends cant compare to the atheletic prowess the muscle tone and fitness levels etc. lets see some of these ppl try to make a pyramid or do sommersaults and all..
would be some kinda sight seeing nerdy desi techies falling flat on their faces as their dockers slip off their toonds
