Not sure if Cheegum is a mod, but if he is, I don’t think mods should be speaking to members in such a tone. The following is a statement he made in a thread in Life1 regarding abuse towards male. I think the question I posed was relevant and mature, so I don’t see the reason or need for such comments. He could easily have taken the discussion in whatever angle he liked, and ignored my comments.
This reflects poorly on mods. I think mods need to be approachable and friendly, and this is not approachable and friendly.
Otherwise, I have no issues with Cheegum or other mods. You guys are all doing a fantastic job.

PCG, sometimes mods say something to members not as a mod but as a friend, cbuddy, pal. Off course they would only do that with whom they think they have such terms or frankness. I am sure that cheegum said that to you as a joke cause he though that you guys can kid around a little.
Still if the comment rubbed you the wrong way, I can have mods remove that.
No, I assure you TLK, there is no proximity between the two of us. He meant his comment in a nasty way, and it was inappropriate. Mods should adhere to some level of decency. He could have said in 10 different ways, and how he talks reflects on the website as a whole.
Pyaari....i have at least learnt one thing...if someone says something nasty...then you also do the same but in nice manner ;) --- agle ki bisti bhi ho jaaye or tension bhi na ho.
I think mods need to be approachable and friendly, and this is not approachable and friendly.
I will leave the final call to TLK on this but I do want to point out that there is no place that would not benefit from some level of improvement and there is nobody, including myself, that couldn't do with a refresher every once in a while.
In conclusion .............befriend as many mods as you can!!!!! Add them ALL to your friends list (whether you like em or not). Then you're "SAFE". That way, if you ever get into a conflict with a mod...........YOU TOO.........can use the same reasoning provided above by TLK. You can tell the mods, "Hey man..........I was just playing wid ya cuz youz ma homey and ma buddy. It's all cool. Now I know you won't give me a warning or an infraction. Cuz I is your buddy and youz is ma buddy too." :p
****** I'm NOT saying all mods are like that. However I do agree with PCG that a few do overstep their boundaries occasionally with their comments.
But seriously, if you guys think someone’s over-stepping the line the best thing to do is get in touch with the Director. I doubt most of the mdos are biased. You just gotta find your own flaws before getting overly defensive.
I’m not saying that I don’t have flaws. I have them as everyone else does. I was talking about the issue of getting away with certain comments when you have authority. And I’m not saying ALL moderators are like that. There are several that are reasonable, fair, don’t instigate, and seek clarifications in a calm/professional manner.
You were doing exactly that in that thread, i.e. deliberately trying to derail the thread by bringing up a subject other than that of the thread. A subject for which there have been countless other threads.
We all have a pretty decent (not perfect though) check and balance system in place. At times, mods had to leave the team cause they said something or did something that was not "Mod-Like'.
