Is there a realistic chance that flight schedules to Pakistan may get affected in early January if the current Indo-Pak problems escalate to some thing more serious?
I am talking specifically about Emirates flights from Dubai to Lahore.
There are some in Pakistan who suggest delaying the trip, because if India starts any kind of strategic strikes within Pakistan, foreign airlines may panic and stop flights.
Whats your feeling??

not even 0% chance. Air strikes are not Bazeecha-i-Atfaal Faisal bhai. Pak is not Iraq and Afghanistan neither India is US as she pose to be plus recent crack down on Let melted down all inflammations within India. Its game of politics and diplomacy not aerial or nuclear.

IF, it comes to that. I do believe most if not all flights will be suspended/canceled for some time. Same was the case most recently in Thailand where the protestors were active against current govt. and it caused many international flights to be canceled.
U don't need to delay u're trip.. flights from Dubai won't be cancelled..

True. Though to be fair, protesters were occupying Bangkok Airport and thus flight cancellations. Here the situation will be different, and the risk is air crafts can be hit by mistake if missiles are flying all over. Unlikely, yes, but thats perhaps the worst case scenario.
If that happens, you need to be concerned about more important things than your flight being canceled/delayed.

anyways, the war is on the cards at this moment... it can only start if INdia does a childish attempt in future. Else the whole world is against it..

I wouldn't really care about my flights being canceled/hijacked/hit by missiles at a time when my country is in a state of war!

my apologies.
My gut feeling is that things will be alright. My parents are actually travelling currently between pakistan and india and will be back in toronto in early january InshAllah.
