Firstly, how do we know that cheating wasn’t so common back in the day? In all likelihood it probably was. The difference though is that now women won’t stand for it whereas back then, many women probably just accepted it instead of making a big deal of it due to the thinking of the day etc. Now, as women are becoming more educated and much more self sufficient, they are realising that they don’t have to put up with the bull$hit of their husbands cheating. I am a perfect example- my husband KNOWS that if he ever even THOUGHT about cheating on me, there would be no second chances ever. That’s it. Done and dusted.
And secondly, I am yet to come across or hear of, a woman who has cheated on her husband (in my immediate Pakistani community abroad). I have heard of many men doing this, but not women. That’s not to say it doesn’t happen, it may happen but I am yet to come across this.
There are a million stories of husbands cheating on wife so wont even go into that but here are some true stories regarding females cheating..girl after doing nikkah with a guy ended up having sex with her cousin, the husband still remembers the day he saw her go in car with her cousin to go visit relatives but didnt think anything of it because he trusted her..well she ended up getting pregnant by cousin even before her rukshati so clearly guy knew it wasn’t his kid..he divorced her..cousin refused to marry her..and she lives in a shack with her kid in karachi..how smart
Another story for you..my friend was involved with this directly and i saw the texts so I know it was true..no longer friends with this low life..anyways girl got married to a guy..it was long distance for a couple of years and during those years my friend would chat with her (she was his cousin) and chatting become flirty and ultimately sexual..she visited his house with her mom and the parents left to go eat out and he ended up hooking up with her several times..it doubt her husband to this day is aware of this
Another story..my friend found his otherwise religious wife chatting with a male friend who she had gone to school with in the past..and she was telling him all about her personal marriage life and confiding in him..it became flirty and there was a message that she had sent saying “i love you” to her male friend..turns out she was meeting up with the guy behind her husband’s back..to this day, she denies anything physical ever happened but regardless that was enough for him to divorce her..emotional cheating is just as bad as physical cheating
And none of these situations involved abusive husbands, the husbands were decent guys..girls just put themselves in tempting and inappropriate situations after marriage..notice the theme of how girl ends up being the loser in the end, not only did she get used by another guy she ends up with no husband after letting momentary fun get in the way of lifelong comfort
Like i said cheating is the ultimate form of betrayal and deception..absolutely no one should ever put up with it
