VOIP ViaTalk offers 3.5c per min.
VOIP ViaTalk offers 3.5c per min.
Have you used it? How good is the service?
Its 15 cents, not 3.5 cents.

Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
^ Been using it for last 3 months, service is good, way better than calling cards (who also use VOIP).
Dangit :bummer: I didn’t know they changed it already :crying: I switched over to them and last I checked (few days ago) it was still 3.5c. Looks like I’ll have to switch again.
Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
Many of my friends also signed up with them for 3.5c sigh
Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
www.call4sale.com i’ve been using them for over a yr, excellent service and rates, 5.6 cents to Pakistan
this is probably why
Phone calls to Pakistan made costlier -DAWN - Business; April 16, 2008
+1
Been using them for almost 2 years and very satisfied so far.
I had Lingo when Pakistan changed their termination rates, Lingo.com immediately hiked their rates to 13 or 14c. My contract with them expired in June/July so I switched over to ViaTalk as they were still 3.5c (3 - 4 months after Pakistan’s rate change) I thought they’ll be able to keep it at 3.5c.
More corrections:
That is weird, on their main page they show Pakistan 5.6c but when you check the rate thru tab “Rate Finder” it comes out to be 6**.25c and 7.25**c

Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
well to be very honest , thesedays they call me from home .. as it is way cheaper down there ....
So if you have a wireless Broadband at home and a mobile which works with it ... hang yrself with TPad , so ya family can call ya back from Pakistan and it will only cost them as a local call ..
If interested let me know , i will find out the exact process and pm it to you ...
As most of the voip services don’t accept credit cards for online transactions thesedays, it aint that handy any more ..
Or if you know some 30 , 40 people as potential customers , get yourself a wholesale account , you can easily make around 2 euro on every 10 euro transaction , bit of a part time nixer ya know ...
As that wholesale account works with more then 50 voip services , so you customers don’t even have to be with a single voip company .
Neither you have to invest money in it ,apart from buying the initial credit ... you can request your customers to make online transactions via online banking , once you receive the money , top up their account , couldn’t be simpler ..
Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
Cheapest way; use someone else's phone. :)
Cost effective way; already suggestions have been given.
Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
**Why don't you buy a card, top up the account and then ask them to call you instead of calling them.
Calling to Pakistan from North America, 5 cent.
Calling from Pakistan to North America, less than a cent.**
Its not for everyone but I have NetOp installed on the lapitopis that I have given to my parents and other family memebers. So I can troubleshoot the lapitopis and they can call me whenever they want.
Thanks Everyone but those who have suggested to make arrangements so that they can call from Pakistan, its a nice and cheaper option I know but sometimes you have to call from here no matter what. And in my case its going to happen very frequently.
I’m still looking for more suggestions.. ![]()
Re: Cheapest way to call Pakistan
Ask them to buy a faster broad band internet service... Then send them magic jack (cost $20 for the USB device and $20/year for a US number - unlimited calls within USA and Canada ) .... it can have either a phone connected to it or a software installed in computer) ... So it works just like VOIP but requires a PC and Fast Broad Band connection....
COST: $40 for initial setup (Including $20 for a year) and Broad Band service Charges in pakistan.
Both parties can call each other since they will be calling a local number...
LOL:D
