cheapest place youve stayed in?

This place was $15 a night, with about 15 people staying there and only 2 bathrooms. The rooms had nothing in them except for tatami mats and beds were laid out at night. I was so upset when we first got there, but then I got used to it, since we were only sleeping there.

I just searched their website for photos, and they didnt have any, instead they wrote this, which I found hilarious! nice way to con unsuspecting foreigners!

*About photos of UNO HOUSE-Guesthouse,Kyoto,Japan.
Thank you very much for accessing to our site and this page.

We are very sorry, but we have reserved to upload pictures of UNO HOUSE. The reason is as follows: when you are planning to travel somewhere, choosing where to stay must be one of the big factors to enjoy your travel to the full. While travelling, whether you have made a reservation or not, where to stay will give you pleasure more or less.
This is the age of internet, people can get detailed information about sightseeing spots, accommodations and how to get there easy.
People will be relieved to get these information. We may need to upload some pictures of UNO HOUSE soon in a sence.
The more, the better? But too many preparations are needed for traveling?
Searching for streets and buildings which are not marked on maps and roaming give you pleasure of traveling, don’t they? I regret to say that may sound nonsense in the age of internet.
We would like to say that our guests will enjoy cultural difference and uncommon experience, and that is one of the features of UNO HOUSE. That is the reason we have reserved to upload pictures and that is our view. Please forgive us for our selfish opinion.

UNO HOUSE is a traditional Kyoto-style town house(Machiya).
Some pepople say that it is regrettable Machiya in Kyoto are decreasing as time goes by, and the old Japanese culture should be protected.
We may upload some pictures of UNO HOUSE someday in that we can spread a glimpse of the old Japanese culture.

We are as happy as can be if all of our guests enjoy themselves in UNO HOUSE.

Thank you. *

In 1997 in Paris in a dorm, £7 (GBP) a night & in Edinburgh in a youth hostel for £8 a night in 1999.

In 1989, near Wazirabad Station with two of my friends, we got the room for 55 rupees/night. The room was equiped with one extra ChaRpai, and two hot water BaLTi's per day.

The price was real cheap, i don't remember exact figures
