What are you looking for in that laptop. Netbooks can be bought for as little as 300 US dollars but they might have linux and 10 inch screen.
Write down the features that you are looking for and you might get a good answer from some guppy

I know that you want to buy a laptop but less expensive laptops are not going to have the same features that more high end laptops offer ..
I would suggest check out Dell website. Dell laptops are the best and you can buy one for less than 450 US dollars. Inspiron mini 12 .. I think

so what yuo want the laptop for? Just browsing internet and emails/MSN? or you will also play music and CD/DVD films on it? Apart from entertainment, will you use it for other purposes? and the most important bit, how much is your budget and are you looking for a NEW laptop or USED?

yeah ^^ eeepc would do all that, just make sure u get the one with windows xp, and spinning hard drive..
