Chaudrys outsmart Mush, again

Without his wardi, the not so clever dictator is losing control of his Q lotas

Smiling all the way, Chaudhrys outsmart Musharraf, Nisar

ISLAMABAD: PML-Q leaders Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi have smartly exploited their well-planned but “chance” meeting with Ch Nisar Ali Khan in a PIA flight to alarm President Pervez Musharraf about their possible new alliance with Nawaz Sharif.

Quickly and without much reluctance, the president has mended his fences with these angry cousins by giving them his word that they would not be removed from the leadership role of the PML-Q.

According to insiders, it was after a long time that Musharraf was found giving the Chaudhrys a long clarification to appease them.

The dramatic news of a chance meeting between Ch Nisar Ail Khan and these two cousins is said to have come as a bombshell for Musharraf and his advisers.

Sources said Musharraf had never thought that the Chaudhrys of Gujrat would go to the extent of opening lines of communication after eight years with their bitter enemy Nawaz Sharif.

Within just a few days of this chance meeting, which otherwise was planned carefully after exchange of certain messages between the two sides, the Chaudhry brothers were comfortably receiving assurances from Musharraf that Shujaat would not be replaced by Hamid Nasir Chattha.

Even after meeting the Gujrat cousins, Musharraf asked his trusted aide Tariq Aziz to again meet them to give them further assurances so that they won’t join hands with Nawaz Sharif. Just a few days ago, the same aide had been tasked to stage a coup against the Chaudhrys.

But the Chaudhry cousins got wind of the game plan and decided to turn the tables on Musharraf and chose to use Nisar Ali Khan for their political objective. As they opened their lines of communication with Nisar Ali Khan, they found him quite eager, which further made their job easy.

Nisar, who also claims to be an equally-shrewd politician, was under the impression that he was preparing the ground for a grand coup against Musharraf. After getting clearance from Nawaz, Nisar met the cousins and discussed the possibility of a merger with Nawaz League in a bid to isolate Musharraf. But in the dirty game of dubious politics, the Chaudhrys turned out to be smarter than Nisar. They walked out of the presidency smiling, after having used both Nisar and Musharraf and having saved their jobs.

Re: Chaudrys outsmart Mush, again

I am no fan of the chaudhries but its funny how an unpopular military dictator, who has stayed on for power for 8-9 years, and whats 5 more through illegal means wanted Chaudhries to quit from the leadership of their party because he thought they were unpopular. Ofcourse we know the real reason, i.e. Chaudhries and their unwillingness to work with great zardari.

Re: Chaudrys outsmart Mush, again

waiting for the “true” patriots to come rebuff this as a hoax or a pre-planned game because Musharraf knows best :halo:

Re: Chaudrys outsmart Mush, again

Will "principled" Nawaz go back into the armed of the Chadruies?

Well said :k:

Everything is fair in the game of love and "politics".

Good things is that politicians are at least talking to each other. That may prevent future political wars that always lead to instability.

Don't hold your breaths though. Yet another long march is coming and Pakistanis will continue to show that we are only a tiny bit better than Afghanis when it comes to mutual respect and peaceful governance.

If Altaf can jump in bed with anyone, then y the restrictions are on NS...???

As long as its all done to please and ensure Great President Musharraf's survival?

How dare you compare the True Leader Nawaz with kala Altaf?

May be!

Musharraf at this moment is part of the ruling elite. However politicians should work in creating a peaceful environment regardless of Musharraf.

The reason we lose political governments is simple. Opposition didn't believe in "live and let live". Back in 1999 Every politician was at NS's throat. Long marches, threats and you name it were used by opposition to destabilize the political system.

The best way to keep future "Musharraf's" out of the government is that politicians must respect each other and avoid long marches at every cost.

Sarcastic or not, the above statement is correct!
