the most tradition form of art and the most vibrant and intense melange’ of textiles and fabrication , weaved into the history of North India is the art of chatta patti and the more intricate of all the chaktian pattian, they are generally and (were) used in the ghararas , and the dhaka pajamas. beneath the goot , which comes , 12’ at the bottom of the ensemble. the upper portion has a border known as the goot, thatof ,generally 2’ and the border at the end ,of the ghararas and dhakas. the mid portion of the 2 vertical border , alongside comes they are generally 3 or 5 colored daigional swatches generally thin. that of abt 0.5’ in width and 16’ vertical. or 1’ ,2 inches width and 16’ vertical, and or 4 inches in width and 16 or more inches vertically , placed diagonally. they are mostly of complementary colors and preferably vibrant colors i.e: orange, red and pink. or orange , red , pink ,gold and bright purple. now a days the designers are using at time multiple colored chatta patties. and even creame’ colored chatta patties.
while as chaktain pattian are colorful that of 5 or more colors , but cut in diamond shape .

Well you know there are not any bridal designer , who solely design chaktian and chatta pattian , but I' know about of a cupple of them , who are good at it. If you want there contact info I' will give it to you.

bunto does lots of chatta patti on the gharara and on the sleeves of her bridals sometimes. haven't seen a bunto with the diamond pattern though.
