Last weekend we went to a newly opened huge Indian Grocery store in our city. I saw karian( raw mango) , that reminded me how my mother, sister and bhabian used to make karey key chutney , so I bought one , came home and put it in the fridge.
Last evening while I was bahalaing my roza I remembered about that long forgotten karey , I took it out , peeled the skin off and made the most amazing chutney .
That chutney became the highlight of the iftari, it was used in goal guppas , with pakoras , samosas and some is still left over to be used. For recipe see the below quoted link.
Now on personal note I hate ketchup and finally kids have come out of the trance of the ketchup too , otherwise they would always perform , mashriq aur magrib ka milap by using ketchup with samosa , pakora, shami kabab :smack:.
I only like spices sauces and salsas , sometimes we buy commercially-home-made jars of those and sometimes we make them at home.
I like all kind of chutnies:
- Lasson key chutney.
- Podeenay key chutney
- Haray Dhaniay key chutney
- Nebu aur piazz key chutney
- Teematar aur piaaz key chutney both kind raw and cooked.
- All kind of South Indian chutnies I do not even remember the names there are so many kinds.
So what you like chutney, sauce (No , not MIL) , Salsa.
