I have a question.

Spiderman’s uncle once said, with power comes great responsibility. Sometimes people in leadership have to take very tough and painful decisions against their will and desire. But they take the decision for the greater good of the organisation. On a personal level, the decision may hurt them a lot.

What was the most toughest decision you took as a director of Gupshup and how did you handle it?

Forceful removal of people from the team were always some of the toughest decsions and unfortunately I had to take them several times. I kid around a lot but always like to extend respect to people, and firing them from the team always appeared as a disrespect. Unfortunately, those were the actions I had to take, so, well ..

Another ones were where I had to ignore people when they were directly (and for no reason) insulting me. Very tough not to kick their behinds off.

• Daal and maybe bhuna hua gosht.
• Best thing I like to do is me lying down and they sitting on the bed by my side and talking to each other. Somehow that is so soothing that it puts me to sleep. Whenever in the afternoon, I want to take a short nap, I ask them to come to the room with their books or ipad or whatever and just be there.
