Charlie Wilson's War - The Movie

So who saw this? The movie was pretty good, I believe Jeff Skoll and Tom Hanks produced it.

Om Puri played Zia, though he looked nothing like him, especially with that nose of his. However, it did show Zia in a way that I wouldnt have expected. His two associates in the first meeting, who I believe were Colonels were hilarious!

The funniest part was when Julia Roberts, playing the religious right wing conservative affluent supporter of the anti-communist agenda in a speech clarifies that Zia did not kill Bhutto :hehe:

Seen it, and not completely realistic, especially about making Zia look like a poodle, but was an interesting movie.

I did I opened up a thread in Ent. section too.

I like the part when 2 army officers kept yelling at Tom hanks.

Re: Charlie Wilson's War - The Movie

I think Zia was a complete poodle. It just exposes American hypocrisy and and how we are making the same mistake today.

Also, off topic but the Fox and the leopard shows how Zia was a poodle from day one.

I dont like it when Indians are given roles to portray Pakistanis. Same with the primetime US series “An alien in America”.
