I'm in two minds.....if I look at the cartoons they seem to show the insensitivity of Europe and Christians.....
I'm feeling like I did when I saw the blue and black dress as white and gold.

Very true.
We had a long and drawn out debate on anti-Islam propaganda and material that mocks our beloved prophet pbuh with one person ultimately asking why I was insisting that such material is used to bait our community and it's simply used to manipulate those of us that are unable to control our tempers/emotions.
When I suggested that he think back to the times of the prophet pbuh and look to hadees related to how the messenger himself handled insults hurled at him I was cut short with the excuse that "We could never compare ourselves to huzoor s.a.w. He was a much better human than any of us could aspire to being so it is unreasonable of you to expect that kind of response to insults against him."
Finally when this guy became completely frustrated with my theory of non-violence, he asked what it would take for me to take up arms......I told him that it would take someone barging into my home to hurt me or my family before I would take up weaponry of any sort to defend myself.
As you can well imagine, I was written off as someone with a weak imaan.

Very true.
Good/bad thing about westerns is, they could cause tsunami on the other side of world killing millions, they would come up with the reason why its right for them, and why they would do again.
On the other hand, they get traffic ticket and they would beat them selves up, and plan how to avoid it.
So if muslims have do some thing, they should aim to have legislation in their own countries where doing such expression come under hate speech.
Other wise difference between understanding of the issue , would always leave room for some evil people to take advantage.

As I mentioned in the other post... The cartoon might be misunderstood. The Child is juxtaposed with the billboard to draw attention to the contrast in the life of children in Europe, to the violent reality of the refugees.
"It says 2 children's meals for the price of one." The "one" in question would be Aylan Kurdi. Anotherwords, we in the West enjoy happy meals while excluding refugees... Our comfort is at the exclusion of and cost of that 1 child. Its a play on words.
I mean you read into it whatever you like, but this is what the other side believes is the actual message.
Say what you like of Charlie Hebdo, I dont think they are so hateful and monstrous as to attack a deceased child.

Knowing there is room for interpretation, this cartoon organization probably didn't care how it was interpreted. It seems to thrive on any sort of publicity.

I'm more worried about the US/UK born and raised hindus condemning Islam, muslims, and refugees on social media. What's wrong with them? They think they will be spared coz they resemble white people?
