What’s this airport like? plz let me know, thanks.
Re: Charles de Gaulle
round..:D
Re: Charles de Gaulle
Its quite large and spacious, you can see the bare concrete but it doesn't look too bad.
There are local trains straight to Gare du Nord, they do stop at every station enroute so it can take quite a long time.
Re: Charles de Gaulle
It's a relatively large airport and not very well organized. It can be quite difficult to find your ways there sometimes and the people working there are usually not very good in English either.
Re: Charles de Gaulle
really, so I'll have to parler en francaise.
Re: Charles de Gaulle
as anywhere in france:rolleyes:
as i’m living in paris it is the airport i allways take to go abraod…and this ariport is a NIGHTMARE!!!
huge, not well organised, the shuttle don’t go to the terminals, you have to take a bus, and the directions are not obvious…getting out of the airport is just crazy!
and the staff is so-so:D
Re: Charles de Gaulle
Yes, it is an absolute nightmare!!! Hubs and I almost got hit by by buses, and cars while trying to get to our terminal!!
Re: Charles de Gaulle
now you guys are scaring me. parisenoor I expect you to come and meet me at the airport and show me the way round it!
Re: Charles de Gaulle
I hate the airport. Besides what the others said the tunnels feel like stuff out of a nightmare, everlasting.
I was in the right terminal on the wrong side of the round check-in place and they wouldn't tell me that my airline was around the corner. And the idiot actually spoke english too.
Re: Charles de Gaulle
IT is humungous and really scary as the people immediately seem so unfriendly and it seems to have those conveyor belt thingys that u stand on taht seem to go no where.......................
it took em ages to find my baggage and if u r not comfortable in heels definitely don't wear em in CDG coz u walk for miles..................
Re: Charles de Gaulle
Well then it wasnt bad at all. Slightly confused at first, but I found my way around and was in the same terminal throughout so it was fine! The coffee and croissants were
and I found some great people to pass my time with. Vive le France :k:
Re: Charles de Gaulle
You must've GPS-like locator built in you like a ... like a... cat (?) ;) Do you also always land on your feet if dropped from a height?
Re: Charles de Gaulle
catty you did not tell me when you were here:(![]()
Re: Charles de Gaulle
An interesting fact about that airport is that an Iranian by the name of Merhan Naseeri lives there. Yea, if any of you have seen the movie the Terminal you know what I’m saying. The Terminal is based on Merhan Naseeri who lives at the airport and is still living there. He is known as Sir Alfred.
here’s the link for more info
Re: Charles de Gaulle
^ That was really fascinating. didn't know he was at that airport.
paris, inshAllah next time ;)
Tofibaba, didnt have to take any shuttles or anything so i guess i was lucky?

Re: Charles de Gaulle
That is unbelievable! When I heared about Tom Hanks’ “The Terminal” I really thought that it was a fictional story. Never thought that it really happens.
Though I haven’t had the chance to see the movie so far.
Re: Charles de Gaulle
I just come to come back from CDG, I really like this aeroport and concerning the acces various in the terminal, some organization current sound, u will find soon a subway under ground will be born. This airport is in height dévelopement, and its scale is gigantic!
ppl are nice also, they speak english and differents languages.
have a good fun !! ;)
