I would like to make a charitable donation on behalf of a friend/cousin that passed away this year. I wanted it to be continuous charity (sadqa jaariya), how do I materialize this wish? what are some options to consider? I know donating money for hand pumps is a good way, what organizations do you trust that help with this that you would recommend?
Would you consider distributing quran or similar in memory of the person? At my grandads 40 day khatam the imam there was someone who knew my grandad and told us he’d commissioned either quran or islamic book in my grandads name to distribute. We then also had some made and distributed. I thought it was a lovely idea.

Yes I like the idea of distributing a Quran but our local musjid is full of Qurans…

If it is just sadqa then why not help others to be self sufficient with this .

Here people have nothing to eat, no drinkable water, lack of health care and tum Quran Kareem bant do.The suggestion of distributing Quran Kareem is great but it will only benefit those who have food to eat and can have basic health care, yeah but can fullfill your greed to attain maximum sawaab.
Do something constructive, if you can afford thn I ll give you a mail id of a person where you can donate dailysis machine.

What is better, going from this world without eman but full stomach and billions in bank account or by starving but with eeman in heart.
Point is, every thing will count inshallah.
To start with, Why not cut our going out with family budget for these needy persons.

Hmmm I only want names of organizations please. I was hoping someone may have donated and had some experience to share, I also looked into Helping Hands.
