i am a pretty boring person i must admit and that fact that i am socially awkward does not help.
how does one develop a charismatic personality ?

Read books, watch shows, learn jokes, learn about current affairs, dress well, excercise be confident, adjust your body language and facial expressions get into hobbies do things travel. I dedicated my life to give my children charismatic personalities.

Thanks was an interesting read!

Still doesn’t change anything. My parents focused on giving us a good education and upbringing, never tried to change our personalities.

@Life01 Copy people around you that have good personalities…Being funny (copy jokes)
If you don’t have any interesting stories..just tell other people their stories..like “my friend told me that” …etc,

I realize that I pick up alot of stuff from everyone I interact with..and that in turn makes me more interesting.
It all comes down to experience and how many interactions you have with “different” people you don’t normally talk to on a daily basis.

Just be positive, compliment people, meet people genuinely.

Best is never try to be someone you are not, look at your strong points and enhance them. Being very hard core vocal religious person always gets the attention and can be used to elevate oneself.
We knew this guy who didn’t really have much to talk about, then suddenly he turned very religious with long darhi and shalwar above the ankles then he got a lot of confidence and he got louder and commanded a lot more respect. When I retire I might go that route.

To be charismatic you have to be interesting but moreso you have to be interested, make it all about them and not about you. Active, attentive listening is better than verbal diarrhea. It should be back and forth, 50/50.
