Chantilly Lace Sari Blouse

Hi all. I’m looking to crowdsource a bit of wisdom re: what kind of blouse to get made with a metallic gold chantilly lace sari I’ve had lying around for a while. I’ll most probably be wearing it to a valima, if that helps at all. The sari itself is woven in a rich, yellow-hued metallic gold thread with paisley-ish motifs loosely scattered over. What colour & material should I go for on the blouse? Tissue and organza and old-time raw silk seems to be making a comeback – would that work? Shall I get any kaam done on the blouse at all?

Much obliged!

Re: Chantilly Lace Sari Blouse

If you can attach pics that'd be helpful but otherwise, either velvet or raw silk would be my personal choice fabric for the blouse.

As for the kaam, it depends on how dressy you want the whole look to be.

Re: Chantilly Lace Sari Blouse

Ended up going with organza jaal fabric for the blouse and sparing kaam featuring pearls on it -- here's hoping it turns out great!
