A month earlier, after a long break I received a DVD in mail from one of my friend in Lahore, who works in some private production company, I always complained him and others about the VCD’S quality, specially Tint conversion from PAL to NTSC. Busy schedule and scared of poor quality, I never paid attention to the DVD. Forwarded to my friend, waiting for his views, within an hour he requested and persisted me to join him.
DVD cover was handwritten label locally as ”Channo” by Ali Zafar. I had no reactions as I never heard or learned about him from any resources. Any way, as soon he projected the video, I was kind stunned, music and video itself diverted my attention with all source.
I was so happy! Special congratulations to the postproduction team H20. Video Presentation was a completely different approach than normally it is, from Pakistan Music scene. Well Ali Zafar’s video clip was excellent, actually remarkable with all aspect when it comes to technical points. Watching song track on digital format was an add on, was a touchy feeling reminded me of MCM from France and Video Italia from Italy where all videos are produced in DVB format, Even you don’t understand a single word of song you will magnitsed by video and touched by beats.
Well the best part is definitely this will create competition, enhancing more quality music with selections competing neighbor country.
At this twilight scene of Pakistani music Industry, friends support them with all kind of positive different ways and angles you can. I know is kind a hard, a no no, an awkward question for most, but realize they look forward from you, and is not he or they, its we as Pakistan, go to their websites leave your recommendations and what you foresee from them. Critics is easy, they need your constructive ideas, there is not one, there are so many with this kind of hidden talent. Like I have never expected from Landa Bazar’ s Ali Zafar. Well done!
The difference in his moving tune, was well seen when my co crew workers and friends, asked me to burn Channo for them, knowing that they wont be able to understand a single word, I could nt refuse. I knew it was the music.
Some may argue with, that it is a copied version of old Pakistani song. Do definitely agree, but I have not seen any video for that, Is there any? If there was and presented then might be something lacking.
These days copying is not as easy in this business. Everything depends, and all that counts is hard work with smart steps, no doubt this might be the reason song track Channo is talk of the town.
So here is Channoo, rest songs from album, I am extracting from CD will be here as early by tonight.
17595.Channoo..
