Changing your looks on your wedding day!

OK please don’t bash me ladies and I am not here to criticize any bride for everyone does what they like and can handle, but my question is for the men and women both:

So you see pictures of brides these days all decked up looking pretty and all, and even with the “natural” style of makeovers done these days, the face looks very very different from the original in most cases. So after the wedding when all that is removed, how do the husbands react when they see that all that contouring wasn’t really the sharp cheekbones or perfect nose, and the lips really aren’t that pouty and the eyes really aren’t that blow me away don’t know how deep anymore? Are guys just more used to it now and don’t care? Do brides feel a change in their self image when they go back to touch their natural skin after removing 2 inches of magical foundation?

:hmmm:

I think its a question for the grooms - how do they feel?

I don't think most notice the transformation that much IMO.

Re: Changing your looks on your wedding day!

Thats a good question.

I think ( I could be wrong ) a lot of men have come to terms with the fact that their bride will look worlds different on her wedding day.

Personally, when I got married...I didnt wear a ton of make up. I wore false lashes and sure I looked different because it was professional make up but nothing drastic.

Even though it looks gorgeous on some people...the ton of make up I see on some brides makes me nervous if I think of it on me. Ive battled too many skin issues and its just not worth it to me.

Re: Changing your looks on your wedding day!

It's makeup not miracle. I don't think it makes such a huge difference.....may be eyes looks better and skin but over all, makeup does not change the way you look. If anything
Pakistani brides wears too much of it and look kinnda clownish....so husband would be relieved after dulhan removes her makeup.

Re: Changing your looks on your wedding day!

My husband alwayys liked me with less makeup so it wasn't a shock for him to see me with less makeup or no makeup.

Re: Changing your looks on your wedding day!

i think the husbands are shocked on the wedding day itself:P and relieved to see a true face afterwards again...
most guys dont like the make-up...

Re: Changing your looks on your wedding day!

^ Ya exactly!

Make-up should enhance your natural features not create new ones.

Re: Changing your looks on your wedding day!

I have seen people being transformed into someone else entirely with makeup! Its not just that eyes look better etc, I mean, their entire face changes. Esp if they don't usually wear makeup and then this ton of makeup is slapped on. That's gotta be a shock to the groom for sure!
Happily though, most of the brides I've seen these days just end up having their faces enhanced, not changed entirely, and they made beautiful brides.

To answer the question, I don't think guys really care, Niks. They probably think their brides are lovely regardless :)
