It may be a dumb question but here goes…
My home has a total of 4 keyed entry locks on different doors. They are all operated by the same key. One of the locks stopped working and I need to replace it. I would like to use the same old key on the new lock. How do I do that? I can buy a 2-combo pack with one key for all but I don’t want to replace all the locks. There has to be a smarter way. Please help out a new home owner here.
Re: Changing Door Locks
hmmm the deal is that you can hav duplicate keys for the same lock, but i havnt heard of duplicate locks for the same key... i think you will just hav to replace all the locks. did you try asking arnd at home depot/ rona's?

Yes I've done that I have many keys for our enterance door, I got them done from a shop. So try to find a shop which make duplicate keys, be sure when you go there take the origional key with you. Hope that helps
Re: Changing Door Locks
Just forget locks and keys...try on all doors...Khul ja samsam... :D
Re: Changing Door Locks
asif why dont u put one of the code entry locks there, not only would u be spared the need to carry an additional key but you will never be locked out again.
