i think u said the right thing…its Allah who guides the misguided. islamically sometimes, for the sake of peace in the house, if its not too serious of a problem, its best to let it go rather than dwell on it and cause a bigger problem and, as a result, push that person even farther from Allah. there isn’t anything wrong with changing the name. ur aitaqaad is clear so i wud suggest let it go.
