We hope you have been enjoying the Audio Gallery and the many features we have constantly added to make it a more user-friendly and enjoyable experience for all of you.
Unfortunately, the times are changing and so must we to make sure we continue to provide you with these features.
Some time, in the next few days, we will be modifying our Audio Gallery. While there will be no change in the way you can upload your own voice using the recorder tool. In case of MP3 upload, the audio file will be truncated. This will allow you to share a ‘flavor’ of the original song you wish to share with your friends and where anyone wishes to hear the full song, they can get it from any other legal source i.e. online download or purchase of CD.
While this particular change is more for legal issues and, thus, not open for discussion, we look forward to hearing your views on this or any new features or ideas you may have for the Audio Gallery. Please post them here or send a PM to the moderator.

And thus began the demise of Audio Gallery. Its unfortunate that it had to end this way. Audio Gallery is going to die sooner or later and user participation here will decrease greatly. On the brigtht side, folks can now start singing their favorite songs in their own voice and upload it here :D Will that still be allowed? Or is that piracy as well. Im not sure :D
I sure wont be posting any bhangra/arabic/national songs anymore. And for those that cant buy such music abroad, they need no worry as pakmusic.com (Cheetah and gang) are coming back with a vengeance.
u mean bhai it does not matter on the size of the file ?
even if a MP3 files is 30 seconds long and few kb in size, it will only be first quarter that will be loaded??..
one question though (as always:D).. see recording own voice converts the file format in wav.. but most people have to download it to listen to it as direct listening has some java exception problem… so even if we upload our OWN voice in MP3 format, only first quarter will be uplaoded

ALL mp3s will be truncated to 25%, no exceptions. If it doesnt worrk for some people in some scenarios, bad luck.
I am looking at other solutions but they may take time.
