Question will be will KPK and Balochistan be able to prevent some deviants from their masses from blowing themselves up as the CPEC corridor is built through their provinces? You can’t blame the Chinese for wanting a more eastward route. Although truthfully, if it goes through South Punjab, I can still see groups instigating attacks through extremist groups in South Punjab. Either way, there will probably be attacks to slow the progress on the route.

Maybe if KPK and Balochistan leaders could work harder to clean up extremism in their provinces, people wouldn’t be afraid to invest in them.

This is not a good enough excuse. When Punjab’s Chief Minister is Prime Minister’s younger brother, and he is the only CM who accompanies PM on his foreign trips, it is not surprising that all foreign (loans) investment lands in Punjab, and only one specific region of Punjab.

You cannot keep rubbing salt in impoverished provinces’ wounds by saying ‘law and order’ situation was once really bad in your province, so you don’t deserve the fair share from the pie. Economic deprivation breeds violence and terrorism.
