chand ke sath mere baat na thee pehle se
raat ate thee magar raat na thee pehle se

hum tere yaad se kal sham bhi milay tha lakin
yeh mulaqat mulaqat na thee pehle se

aankh kion loot gayee koof se sehraoon ko
kionke is bar to barsaat na thee pehle se

ab ke kuch aur trha ke thee udasee in mein
chand taroon ke yeh baraat na thee pehle se

ishq ne pal mein badal de mere sare dunia
mein ne dekha ke mere zaat na thee pehle se
